At Harborn, we believe the best ideas are born from collaboration and creativity. During our hackathons, we bring together a multidisciplinary team — with strong representation from the client — to come up with new concrete solutions in a single day and develop them into a first working prototype.

How does a hackathon work?

A hackathon is an intensive and energetic session where we work on concepts together and immediately test them for feasibility. Often, the ideas have already been generated, and we use an impact-effort matrix to decide which challenge(s) to tackle. The goal of the hackathon is to validate a solution direction and develop an initial proof of concept. And yes, it’s also a lot of fun, especially when the smartest minds from your team and ours come together, with real users invited to participate.

Why a hackathon?

  • Accelerate innovation by testing ideas immediately
  • Combine different expertise for surprising solutions
  • Achieve tangible results and clear next steps
  • Turn strategy into action and insight in a short time

With our hackathons, we help organizations move forward quickly, make complex challenges manageable, and lay a solid foundation for further digital strategy or product development.
